My Next Vacation: VIETNAM

This week I booked my flights and put the finishing details on my next international trip, and I couldn’t be more excited about this one. It’s an entirely new destination for me, and one I have a feeling I’m going to absolutely love.

I’M GOING TO VIETNAM!!!

Here are a few of the exciting places I will be visiting on my adventure…

Hanoi

Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and is known for is centuries-old architecture and rich culture. It’s located in the northern region of Vietnam and has been dubbed the “Paris of Asia.”

Ha Long Bay

Quite possibly the experience I am looking forward to the most— Ha Long Bay is a magnificent scenic spot located in northeast Vietnam, and known for its emerald waters and thousands of towering limestone karts and isles.  I’ll be staying overnight on a replica junk in indulgent luxury.

Hue

This is considered the most royal city in Vietnam, and is located in the central part of the country. It is steeped in history with diverse cultural influences.

Hoi An

I’ll end my time in Hoi An, located on the central coast and known for its well-preserved Ancient Town. Ancient and peaceful, this city is one of the most popular destinations in Vietnam, and I also plan on enjoying some beach time before heading home.

So when I am I going on this exciting and complex adventure to a totally new destination that I didn’t know much about before a few months ago?  In June. Exactly a month from now to be exact.

This is the time where I tell you to do as I say and not as I do.  In fact, just this week I wrote a really helpful blog about how to research and plan for a multi-stop vacation, and a breakdown that I think works really well to ensure that you have the right amount of time to do all the necessary steps to have a great vacation.

The timeline is definitely NOT a month. But this opportunity for me to travel back to Southeast Asia presented itself and it was too exciting to say no. (I pretty much never say no to travel opportunities, who am I kidding.)

This is a part of the world I continue to fall more and more in love with and feel like is an underrated destination for many American travelers looking for incredible adventures and experiences in beautiful and culturally rich places. My hope is that by taking the time to travel here and share my experiences with you, I might just ignite your own wanderlust spirit to follow in my footsteps some time soon.

If that’s the case, I hope to hear from you — and I hope you give me more than a month’s notice to plan the most amazing trip ever for you. :)
